The lecturers and students from the Department of Architecture of the Hong Kong Design Institute took cues from traditional Chinese writing to create 10 pieces of public furniture. The furniture pieces incorporated weaving works created with rattan weaving techniques in public workshops led by Breakthrough Art Studio. The final product celebrates traditional craftsmanship and the beauty of Chinese typography, while spicing up the public space and unleashing its infinite potentials.
