A vital community embraces all kinds of personality and lifestyle. #dd24 is a 24-hour outdoor creative event taking place at 7 Mallory Street, a former Grade II historic buildings “Green House” and its periphery where different groups in the community and tourists alike are welcome to join. Through activities happening day and night, all attendees can explore the great diversity of cultures and interests in the Wan Chai District.
Starting from 7 December 2018 (Friday) at 6pm, #dd24 collaborates with various local creative units to bring an array of diversified and fun experiences to all participants. At different time, a different experience is guaranteed: Open party, midnight exploration, sunrise meditation & yoga, morning gym, afternoon forum, and back to the evening concert. This non-stop extravaganza offers the most authentic experience to both local and international audience, and also revitalises our neighbourhood by activating its public spaces.

“Beyond Happy Hours” Opening Party

As the local residents of Wan Chai, Wah and Wai are active participants of community activities and often discover the old and new side of the place. They will share their Wan Chai stories and snacks from GroundWorks and bring out the taste of Wan Chai through creative foodmaking.
Special Flavoured Beer Brewing Demonstration
As one of highlights in Wan Chai, Stone Nullah Lane Beer will demonstrate the basic techniques of beer-brewing and share the tips on brewing special-flavoured beer using ingredients from the community. We invite participants to discover the Hong Kong localness in the beer!

Wan Chai will be transformed to performer Kiwi Chan’s stage. Public and tourists can discover a different side of Wan Chai from a new perspective whereas the beauty of fashion, dance and urban space will be presented and outlined through dances.

“Imagine the City” Parent-Kid Creative Workshop
The trust challenge between parents and kids is on! Wan Chai tours led by kids and parents become tourists. Guided by courageous kids, the participants will walk through the Wan Chai district where old meets new: from pre-war buildings and heritage to modern architecture and public space, finally arrive at the designated spot to complete the mission within specific time. Let the little urban planners free their imagination and construct the ideal living space!
